Move from UpNote to Locinote, intact.
Export your UpNote notes as Markdown (or HTML), zip the folder, and Locinote rebuilds each note — pulling images and attachments out of the export's Files folder as it goes.
Nothing left behind
What comes across
Locinote reads your .zip and rebuilds each note — formatting and all.
- Every note's Markdown or HTML, rendered as rich text
- Images and attachments from the export's Files folder
- Checklists, tables, and code blocks
- Headings, links, and inline formatting
Three steps
How to export from UpNote
- 1
Export your UpNote notes as Markdown
Select notes (or a whole notebook via the ⋯ menu) and choose Export → Markdown as separate files. UpNote creates a folder with a Files subfolder for your images.
- 2
Zip the export folder
Compress the whole export folder into a .zip — keep the Files subfolder inside it so attachments resolve. HTML exports work the same way.
- 3
Import into Locinote
Open Import, pick UpNote, and drop the .zip. Each Markdown file becomes a note with its images attached.
Worth knowing
- UpNote's export flattens its notebook hierarchy, so imported notes land together in one notebook you name.
- UpNote doesn't stamp per-note dates into its Markdown export, so imported notes are dated at import time.
