Move from Bear to Locinote, intact.
Locinote reads Bear's .bear2bk backup (and .textpack exports), converting each note's Markdown to rich text while keeping your hashtags — including nested ones — as real tags.
Nothing left behind
What comes across
Locinote reads your .bear2bk and rebuilds each note — formatting and all.
- Every note's Markdown, rendered as rich text
- Bear #tags and nested #parent/child tags
- Images and file attachments from each note bundle
- Checklists, tables, and code blocks
- Created & modified dates where Bear records them
Three steps
How to export from Bear
- 1
Select your notes in Bear
Pick the notes you want to move, or press ⌘A to select everything under a tag.
- 2
Export as a Bear backup
Choose File → Export Notes… and pick Bear Notes (.bear2bk). A .textpack export, or a plain .zip of exported .textbundle folders, works too.
- 3
Import into Locinote
Open Import, pick Bear, and drop the .bear2bk file. Your hashtags arrive as tags and every asset comes along.
Worth knowing
- Bear organizes by tags, not notebooks — imported notes land in one notebook you name, with their tags fully preserved.
- Nested tags like #work/clients keep their full path as a single tag.
